Founder's beginNings
Born in Bronx, NY, I started life in the southeast area in Parkchester and Throgs Neck where there was a large African American populous. Never at a level of extreme poverty but only due to my two hard working parents. Migrating into Westchester County at age 9 opened a whole world of opportunities. Attending public and private institutions from elementary to high school broadened my thirst for learning and exploration. Underlying photography and architecture interest sprouted early on. I dabbled with small "point & shoot" film cameras enjoying the ability to capture and freeze time in an image. Lego, Technic & Connect sets were a norm on days the television didn't seem creative enough. Both my brother and I would revel in broken appliances because it would yield a new project to disassemble.
Architecture was a natural choice which I had made at the beginning of high school. I attained my Bachelors of Architecture at Manhattan's campus of New York Institute of Technology (NYIT). My photographic interest died down during much of high school and college but was ignited with my study abroad semester to eastern China. Initially cultivating my architectural passion was soon joined by an equally passionate self-teaching in photography.
Currently I am a practicing architect, licensed in New York State and enjoy design, construction and building sustainable. During evenings and weekends I find time to capture a versatile concoction of imagery for various clients and also some just for pure fun.
In addition to architecture and photography, I enjoy Muay Thai kick boxing training as well as running and swimming. My family is a big part of who I am and why I try to stay humble and remain motivated. My motto is "you never arrive." Never stop learning. The day you think you've learned it "all" is the day your creative passions ceases to exist.
